Term 2

the highlight for term two for me was when Mr Vorster came into FINV as he actually taught something unlike any of the other classes.

this whole term has not worked out for me as teachers have taught me nothing and my favorite subject has been made boring because they haven't changed the topic for more that 1 1/2 years.

things i learnt about water today

Most our water is salt water

most our freshwater is trapped in ice'

only one percent of all water is drinkable

most of all the water used is for agriculture

all personal water uses don't add up to even half of our water usage

for one glass of beer it takes more that 75 liters

people try to grow water needy plants and crops in the desert

it takes more then 100 liters of water for one quarter pounder

lots of countries have to walk miles just to get water

places have been experimenting with people paying for water with income.

tr1 reflection

 stretch your wallet:

what i liked: I enjoyed the whole budgeting aspect and i liked the cooking

what i didn't: i didn't enjoy all the tech practice assessments and things

what could be improved: have a bit less tech practice and more budgeting

whats in the news:

what i liked: I enjoyed the whole class and it taught me a lot

what i didn't: I didn't like the whole making a news story too much and there wasn't too much science stuff

what could be improved: add a bit more science experiments and maybe add a bit more freedom.

Friday well being:

what i liked: that it helped me understand some big issues better

what i didn't like: it is a pointless waste of time that wasted a block and held me back on my impact project potential

what could be improved: don't have it next term

making a difference:

what i liked:

what i didn't like: it was another pointless RE class and it wasted 4 blocks a week so almost 6 hours a week

what could be improve: don't have this bad class or RE in general

resilience

my first one is fairness as i find it important and i think that fairness is really important as racism and lots of social justice issues start with unfairness. You can use fairness by treating everyone equally no matter their race, ethnicity, weight or country of origin.

my second one is humor. humor is good because it can make stressful situations a lot easier to handle. showing humor to make others feel better is a very useful skill and can make people less stressed very easily.

my last one is perspective because perspective is everything because by your perspective your being a hero and in another your a terrorist. I think having a relevant and good perspective is very important because otherwise it can make things very deceiving because you think your doing something good but your really doing something really bad
